2015 John Deere 3046R
I finally got my tractor today, the dealer delivered it early so I can get work done. It will have to go back to get a lot of the extras put on when they all get in but in the mean time I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can.

It is definately a new beast to me and the loader with grapple is definately intimidating and will take some getting used to.

Fantastic looking machine! Congratulations! Back in South Dakota that grapple bucket setup is called a "silage grapple". Used to break out corn silage to feed stock cows or load into mixer wagons from either a bunker or a packed mound at the edge of the field.

Are you planning to feed cows with your new grapple bucket?

Thank you, It looks more like a monster from inside the cab, lol.

Thank you, I already am, that air ride seat is sweet. I had that itch with my BX for a while now, was iffy about making the jump to the bigger tractor and now that I did there is no turning back, best decision I have made. You will love the upgrade.

Thank you, lots of grass to cut and driveway to maintain, this will make it go a lot faster.

Wow - Congrats.

Thank you, actually I have 5 acres of front lawn and 48 acres of pasture to cut (and bale in the future) plus two arenas to maintain and a driveway.

I didn't know that that's what that grapple was meant for, I wanted a grapple that would be multi-purpose (hauling loose items, grabbing bales with, etc.) and this is what the dealer suggested, already ripping down wire and wooden fence with it, it looks like my loader is eating it with those grapple teeth. I do plan on getting cattle it's great to know the tractor can expland with me and can do the silage. :D

Enjoy it, but be careful.
You have a LOT more tractor there than you're used to. It can tear up and break things that you've never even thought about. :D

LOL dont let the Deere play with the Kubota. I don't think the kubota will survive if it gets in the grapple according to your pic.

It is a lot more tractor, it's taking some getting used to but lots of little chores is slowly easing me into it. I agree that it can break things that I've never thought about, I was pushing down fences and it pushed a huge post that was quite new with no effort at all.

The kubota wanted to leave when it saw the Deere enter the yard, the Deere had bigger teeth, rofl.

Get some major ballast on the rear. A friend of ours has the same tractor with an 84" bucket and can't seem to get enough ballast, he has the tires loaded and 3 wheel weights on each wheel. I told him he needs a ballast box too.

Great looking tractor BTW.

My rears are filled as well and so far it has worked for what I needed to lift, would like to get or build a ballast box though just to be safe.

Very nice tractor with plenty of hp for the frame size, I think you will be well pleased with it. Congratulations.

Thank you, it is a beast, the dealer was a little worried cause the grapple was stronger than he thought and might be too much power for the tractor. I wasn't sure how much use of the grapple I would get but now that I got it I don't know how I would have ever gotten along without it, it's so versatile (one minute it's clamping misc stuff in the bucket to the next it's pulling a chain attached to a vehicle to the next it's stacking big square bales.)

Thank you, it is a lot of HP for its size, I've yet to find a chore that uses half the HP, I am very pleased with it.

Yes, very nice. How is it speced out? You have the delux cab, 24/24 trans, remotes?

Thank you, It's the deluxe cab with air ride seat, buddy seat, deluxe stereo (has hands free Bluetooth and iPod connections.), sun roof, three rear remotes, fender 3 point control, 16/16 transmission with forwards and reverse on the steering wheel (I forget what the technical term for it is), rear fender extensions, front stationary fenders, strobe light, horn, hydraulic quick connects for loader and for grapple, 540e/540/1000 PTO, hydraulic top link, security kit, fuel tank armor, cold weather kit, telescopic mirrors, inside rear view mirror, loader with grapple. Plus lots of attachments to go with it and other features that I'm not sure if its standard or optional, lol. I told the dealer I wanted it decked out and he did just that.

He sure did! That should rate a Christmas Card from him, I would think!

Very nice bunch of stuff you got there! Enjoy it.

Lol, I've never gotten a card from a dealer, that would be a new experience with me. Although he is about to get two more contracts from me next week (3 point drag harrow and finishing mower.) so he will be grinning from ear to ear.
