5220H hyd fluid sight glass, capacity

Branson specs Chevon THF1000 which is a "premium" tractor fluid. The Deere 303 type cheapo fluids lack some additives that the premium stuff has (see link below). OTOH my dealer said not to use Kubota SUDT, which is ok with me as that's expensive synthetic. I've used Mobilfluid 424 which is very similar to THF1000 in specs but easier for me to get. Last change I went to Duraguard semi synthetic but it's not been long enough for a real test.

Mine is also so clear you can't see it. I asked my dealer to put in some die at the 50 hr, but he didn't have any.

It's up for it's 300 hr this summer, I'll have to make it a point to put some die in it.

Tractor still leaking from the PTO. It’s been in the shop over four months just in 2021 waiting for parts/service, two separate visits. First time was PTO seal and second was broken sight glass. I don’t believe Three Rivers did anything either time but wipe it down. Still leaks the same way.

Does the bearing have play in it up and down or side to side? I do not have any experience with Three Rivers as they had just purchased that dealership when I bought mine. Do not know if they have time or will look at it for you but I can highly recommend BigTex tractor in Caddo Mills.

Sorry your dealer is lame.

If you can get the old seal out you can take it to a bearing supply house and get a replacement. I think they're replaceable from the outside. The one on my Kubota was not that hard to do. They might be able to get you a new sight glass too but those usually are damaged by being removed (on BMW motorcycles the way to replace it at home is to push a heated wire through it so you can pull it out).
