Just wondering what are the most common parts to fail when someone "rolls" one of this series tractor into park? Can said parts be accessed with a simple split between the transmission and rear main housing, or is it likely to be deeper than that?

The most common parts broken are the park pawl and the park gear. I have seen the transmission housing break a time or two. If you remove the mfwd drop box, you can see what is damaged. As long as the housing is ok, you are correct. The repair can be done at the rear transmission split.

No 4WD. I took a quick look under there hoping for such an opening but didn't see one. I will look again. There are no signs of external cracks or leaks, and no unusual noises. Just no park. The split looks to be pretty straight forward, but looks can be deceiving.

Thanks
