Anyone have a picture of how these hook to the 7000 series? Says it comes with a front hitch kit.....does it have a manual lever to raise and lower then? Or does it connect to front loader arms? I have a 7272 with front loader and am interested...thanks

Not sure if it will adapt to the older 7000 series. Was designed for the 6000 series, loader comes off and hitch bolts on.

I've been looking for"front" a blower for my 6284 for some time.
I currently have a great Pronovost 3pt. but 'getting too old to "keep looking back"...
I'm a little reluctant because one may be buying an "orphan".
Does anyone know if parts would still be available ? ( future)
I've also been having thoughts about getting a different tractor all together. The 6284 has been pretty good so far but I've got a lot of hills on my lane ( asphalt). She get a little hair raising sliding down some of them backwards !

Thanks for your comments.

I went to the Cub Cadet website and put in the model number in the parts search and parts are available.

Graybeard,

Have you hung any suitcase weights on the front? I have been using my 6284 all winter to pull trailer loads of firewood from my woods and have several steep grades. I hung 5 40 lb weights on the front of my tractor and it really improved where I could go - even is deep snow. With the weight it sounds like you have hanging on the back front weights should really help.

The one problem I have had to be careful about is coming down the inclines pulling a full load. The trailer wants to push the tractor and it will sometimes push the rear sideways at which point I have to speed up a bit to keep things straight. It gets a little exciting keeping the rig from jackknifing.

I've got a loader on the front.
Can you use the weights on the front, with the loader on ?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
I like the machine(6284) but with the local drl. going under, I may look to something else. For darn sure, I want to be able to "stick" to the hills.
Steiner ans Ventrac look pretty inviting but pretty spendy as well...
I've got a quad with a 55" blade for the snows up to 8 or 10" but soon you run out of room to push it.
The Pronovost is a heck of a blower. I'm just not looking to right way for my stiff neck !
