Snow 54 quick hitch blade

You were spot on ovr! That 25/32 pin wouldn稚 go through either. It痴 close, but not happening. And the 3/4 rod isn稚 as loose as I thought it to be. So hopefully when I知 feelin better, I値l have some time to get those holes drilled and continue my project.

Well boys and girls, this project is just about done finished! Tomorrow is welding day. I took what pics I could..issue being that it痴 against company policy to take pics of work being done in the shop. I may have also forgot at times... I did take pics of the components and of it held together with a large wood clamp, and tomorrow I値l take pics after welding. And then again after it gets a few coats of paint to hide some errors. There were some 都nafus shall we say along the way, some are blatantly obvious, others will remain a secret only to this fabricator. All
In all, it was fun yet challenging. I値l post pics ASAP, but with the holiday around the bend, may be another week or so. I壇 also like to thank all those who offered help and data, for this project wouldn't be possible without them! Til then, Happy holidays to all!!

Here is the semi finished product. Still have to paint it and hoping to this wknd! I do have another question...I知 wondering how much the bracket should swing on the plow pivot pin when it trips? 90* to the plow? Less? More? There are pics of the situation I have. You can see where the bracket is very close to the backside of the plow, then I used my hand grinder and took away some steel to add some clearance. Since that, I致e been able to swing the bracket Much further back, but should I add some additional clearance? Thanks

Sorry... there are a second batch of pics. I had trouble adding them all at once. Once I get some advice on the bracket tripping angle I’ll either grind a bit more steel to allow for that greater swing, or leave it as is and paint.

My blade will trip and lay flat on the ground.

I run mine pinned so it can't trip.

Hey ovrszd! So it does swing all the way back. Ok. I’ll grind the rest off today and paint! 60* here this wknd in New England! Good day to get stuff done outside!

Nice work, you did a much better job than I did making an adapter from heavy galvanized metal.
I took the hitch off of the blade and bolted on the adapter so I could use the blade on the front of my SCUT for moving light & loose materials.
