To bad mine won't fit yours. Its a model 74 for 4200 to 4410's I need to find a home for it.

Yup. $900 - $1,100. It's worth it with my snow conditions. My only complaint is that it should be a 60" moldboard. How much snow do you need to move, and what is the road surface?

Would a 16 inch high blade be high enough for a 4100? And would it be worthwhile to adapt a 54" lawnmower push blade to mount on the arms of the 410 loader (it is spring loaded to trip if necessary)

Mine cost $995, works great. Been using it for 2 years on my 4115 with no problems

The JD 54" blade is exactly the same for the small CUT's (4010, 4110, 4115, older 4100 and 2210) and the 400 and 500 series garden tractors.
On the CUT's, as other have mentioned, it may be a bit small for optimum efficiency for that tractor size. My 4100 has no problem pushing a full 54" blade full of heavy snow. Only when trying to pile it up into a high frozen bank do I stall or spin the tires.
I have often wished for a wider blade, so this winter I plan to try out my modified version. I replaced the steel wear strip with UHDPE to protect my fancy new driveway. While I was at it, I used 1/4" HDPE to put a anti-stick face over the surface of the blade. I extended this out to the sides an additional 5 inches on each side for a total width of 64". If I have problems with the extensions bending or cracking, I can cut them off to maybe me only 3" per side or all the way back to 54" wide.
More details after the first big snow!

Think you'll find it at around $1,100 on the JD site, building your own. The local dealer said $1,300.
I also asked about a Curtis blade to replace a 410 bucket. That is about $2,400. That's a huge penalty for the convenience of not having to remove the 410 loader arms and all.
My little 12 hp Gravely pushes a 48" blade. In deep and wet snow, you have to take small bites, but in drier snow, it'll push the blade full of snow. This is with dual (4) turfs. If I put chains on, it'll push even wet stuff with pretty much full width.
I'm gonna see how my 4010 with 410 bucket does with snow in the winter. My backup is the Gravely with 4 ag tires with metal screws into the lugs with its snow plow or old square chute blower. Didn't have an opportunity to try the Gravely with its ag tires in snow last winter.
