OK guys, you're killing me! (LOL) Seriously, my R3039 was delivered yesterday late afternoon. After the dealer rep left, I managed to drop the FEL and hooked up my old brush hog for a shot at cutting part of two pastures before it got too dark (the rear work light was over looked when they prepped the tractor before delivery). Anyway, I know now what the PTO speed at 540 rpm is all about. My brush hog never worked so well as it does behind the R3039 at the proper speed. What a difference a new tractor makes! The R3039 never paid it no mind while I pushed it up some very steep inclines on our property, cutting through 3'-4' tall weeds and shrubs without even breaking a sweat. The four wheel drive came in real handy when I went through some really wet areas where my old 8N would have become stuck. I finished the rest of the cutting today (effortlessly I might add) and a neighbor (who owns a much larger New Holland), stopped by to ask about the LS. He asked what I gave for it and when I told him the price I paid, he just scratched his head and said "say that again?"

Jim, glad to hear the tractor is performing well for you. Just try not to grin too much while mowing as the wife will get suspicious. I'm away for a couple weeks for work so mine is just sitting in the shed (the tractor, not wife). A flail mower and box blade are my next purchase. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and give the ground in my area a chance to dry out while I'm away.
