Price Check 5420/5520 Pricing

I am looking at purchasing one of these two tractors new with a cab, powreveser trans, mid and rear scv's and a self leveling loader. What should I expect to pay for these tractors? I have a quote on a 5420 from 1 dealer for about $42,000 does that seem like a reasonable price? Somewhere I read that someone had purchased a 5420 similarly equipped for about $35,000 (As I recall it may have been cowboydoc) . Is the 5520 worth the price difference ? Also, I've heard that the 20 series may be replaced with a 25 series late this fall, anyone heard of any changes with the the 25's?

Figure up your total price on the deere build and price website. Take 23% off of that and that would have been what I would have paid. I would have gotten the 5520. But it all depends on what you need. I would say $42,000 is way too high. That's not very much off of list. I didn't have the power reverser so that would have added some to it.

Take a look at the New Holland TNA series. I got one coming TN70DA 70hp, 4wd, cab, 2 rear remotes, 2 mid mount remotes, loader for $36500. The John Deere looks like a really nice machine. For me the JD tractor was physically to big, and didn't have the tire setup I wanted.

I see in you other post that you would be using the tractor snow removal. Is it for personal use or commercial?

I've gone to the Deere site several times now, opened buy and price and all I get is "you timed out" and therefore, I cannot get in the pricing site or the others for that matter

just figured it out.. for some reason the security setting had to be lowered, and after that, all is working OK.. It worked before with a high securiity setting and for whatever reason, it had to be lowered to medium..
