My 70hp Kubota has not been even close to something like that and I have beat the tar out of my grapple. And I do not have the X on it, but the even lighter one.

I have the X series on my SVL75 track loader and have not had any result like that either and I have WORKED that grapple well beyond what is reasonable. I mean, worst case scenario, I could buy a second one and still be money ahead I guess.

In all fairness, I weld and fabricate for living and have a full shop at my disposal. Due to that, I have never been shy of repairs if they are needed which probably leads me to not have as much concern about how completely bulletproof an implement is.

Is this the MTL grapple in question? MTL CV- Compact Vertical Tractor Root Grapple MTL Attachments

I didn't know they made this. Web site says all sizes are sold out and I never saw it so I'm wondering if it's a new model?
Wow this grapple looks interesting to me, thoughts on this versus an EA Wicked root rake grapple?

It might be a good idea to settle down and get some sleep given your time zone. I never said that I have an MTL grapple, but I did say that I have 3 grapples and none of them are EA, Also none of them have ever failed. I have posted grapple pictures in numerous threads. To reiterate, your thumb add-on to a bucket is not a grapple and you have no experience in non EA grapples (unless you can post a picture).

Also to reiterate, EA makes an excellent product, no doubt whatsoever. But does everyone need to spend that much money on a grapple just because other EA customers did? In my opinion, no they do not. Numerous other manufactures can make grapples that can pick up brush, logs, rocks or whatever. Members do not need to buy an EA grapple to do simple grapple work. They can save some money and that is my point.

Yup!
You are quite correct.
I would not even bother to try to pick up a large rock with a grapple (I do not have one...yet).
My 11' reach Kubota backhoe with hydraulic thumb is what I would/will use for rocks even when I do have a grapple.
My grapple use on a 48HP tractor will be for brush, vines, small logs etc.

so, I have a bucket grapple, and an EA grapple which I have posted pic of. You own 3 grapples with no pictures of them with any work involved.
Ok, big guy... I got ya now ! LMAO !

Guess you have never heard of a bucket grapple. You should educate yourself on them. Many are sold under the name bucket grapple
But for someone that owns 3 grapples with no pics should know that.. O' and one of the grapples you are saying is can do anything. You don't even own ! LOL

Is this a game of my stuff is bigger & better than your stuff?
