Too bad about the Turbo. Very rare. The Cummins engine is top notch so I am sure it was just a bad one from the factory or from sitting like others have mentioned.

Great job on the bed. Looks better than factory built.

I am sure the sitting or just a factory miss is the cause. someone told me long ago, Randall, you always get the defective sh==. I just have to grin, get it fixed and drive on.

Thank you all for the positive feedback. Should be headed for Ak on Saturday if all goes well.

finally, here are a couple of pics. I had to stand way back then downsize to get them to download.

Very nice setup, looks similar to one of my trucks. I like the wide stance on your trucks mirrors. Good job:D

My F350 has a bed with built in boxes and gooseneck hitch. Built this bed about 6 years ago and had the whole bed powdercoated, seems to hold up well. I use it primarily to haul bulky objects and tow a trailer on occasion.

Man I love it, I wished you lived closer, and I could try it out for you a couple of weeks. Great build!

A note on the turbo. Run with the exhaust brake on all the time, unless your on ice. The sliding valve in the turbo that makes up the exhaust brake can get gummed up with soot and carbon if it isn't being used all the time, which can cause it to jam up and cause check engine lights.
