Nice picture - nicer doggies. I was given a book over twenty years ago, which I am reminded of now. A good friend gave it to me after we worked all day getting a rear drum off a '51 Ford F1. It's pretty irreverent, but we could all use a little of that now and then (I think).

I posted the back cover from Amazon so you could read it. The older copy had a drawing of a 1950 Dodge on the front. I recommend it, but I'd screen it if I were going to have kids read it; or even the missus, depending on her sense of humor and taste. You can get a taste of things by reading the contents, too. Think I'll re-read it.

Good morning John.
Hope all is well and this heat wave hasn't affected your farm, like so many I've seen.

That was our goal to catch the last day of the farm show, but one out of the eight bikes had little trouble on the west side of Ohio /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif and our better halfs were to exhuast to make up the lost miles.

I do hope to scan all the pictures in which TBN has to offer on such a grand event tho.

Any idea how to remove all the different insect body parts from a black TBN hat from our 4.800 ride..yikes../w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

As always your neck of the woods offers nothing but a peaceful feeling.

When I was at Sturgis in '95, it was fun to see tractors and bikes. We stopped to get gas in Spearfish. Here is this Farmall 300 series tractor, in line with a bunch of bikes waiting to get gas. The guy had putted from his property to the station at the edge of town to fill up. It was quite the contrast!

Then where we stayed at Tilford Gulch, the landowner had an old AC model B with a sickle bar mower that he used to mow the "campground" the week before.

Spearfish indeed a breath taking slow ride long w/Mt.Rushmore and viewing Crazy Horse.

Ever notice on the other side of the old Miss river, home made doodle bugs are far and few between...must be a New England thing. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Doodle Bugs? You mean like the "tractors" built using a Model-T Ford? I know my Dad and Grandpa used to salvage cars occasionally to build a powerplant for use around the ranch. I remember one was for a contraption that chopped corn for feed.

I'm from that other side of the Ole Miss, so I'm not sure though/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Mt Rushmore is something when your right there; pictures do not do it Justice. That whole countryside is beuatiful; I know now why the Souix fought so hard for it.

Ebay seems to work pretty well for sellers. There are several old pickups listed right now.
