How/Why would R-1's on pavement be hard on rearends?
i would think the grip R1's offer and the tendancy for less slippage on pavement, thus causing more stress on the rear axle. take a 2wd(or MFWD) tractor with R1's and rear ballast and push into a pile on pavement. i'll see you in the repair shop before long
