I just bought a 2022 7.3l 10 speed DRW CC xl model F350 4x4 for a little less than 51k. 2wd is useless for my needs. There are dealers that are 2-4% under invoice. My dealer was $2k under msrp.

I had to wait 4 months for delivery.

That 2wd for 49k isn't at all desirable to me.

I know my rigs are getting dated, but just some data on the 6.0L GM trucks:

I have a 2012 Silverado 2500HD Xcab 4x4 with 3.73 gears. 92K miles. ROCK solid reliable. It fact, I just replaced the brake pads for the first time because it seems weird to go 10 years or nearly 100k on factory brakes. They were still 30%. No repairs, but I over-maintain. Beautiful truck and it rides and drives great.

But the 6.0L is challenged in this truck/configuration. Empty she weighs 7700 lbs. I recently pulled an empty trailer to OH and a UTV back and averaged about 4mpg. That's the worst I've ever seen. Best highway driving (easy on the gas, speed limit, bed cover, etc.) was 14mpg under ideal conditions and premium fuel.

If you find a 6.0L that you are interested in, I would make sure it had 4.10 gears. It will tow better and probably get a bit better fuel mileage.

Still looking. I agree and we plan to do a decent amount of towing.

Been a while, but I now have a 2020 Ram 2500 with a 6.4 with 4.10 axle ratio that replaced my 2000 Chevy 2500 with a 6.0 and 3.73 gears.

Seems to get about 15.3 MPG locally and the on highway run said 18 MPG on the meter. While towing the loads listed below it’s turned in 14 MPG.

The Ram is a great truck, so far and gets better MPG than the 6.0 did while driving normal vs babying the Chevy.

I haven’t towed heavy with the Ram yet, just my new to me Woods C114-1 pull rotary cutter that’s 9.5’ wide. Had to set it sidewa on the trailer and take the tongue and tires off.

ps the Ram rides great too.

Just use a good fully synthetic oil & filter (not an Amsoil filter as they have a TSB to not use their filter) and change it every 5K or so IMHO. Minimize the idle time if you can. Enjoy the truck.

Well we finally found one. 2015 with 43k miles, 6.0 4.11 gears. One owner, great shape.

Nice truck 👍 that was on my list when I was truck shopping.
However, I ended up with a Ram 2550 with the 6.4.

Unless you've done deletes. Then they're good to go.
Then it’s illegal. People are going to jail or getting heavy fines for doing that.
I don’t recommend anyone doing “deletes”.

Did you find it or did you buy it?
If you bought it, you will really like that truck.

There really isnt a bad truck out there today. They are all really nice. I avoid Ford only because of bad past ownership issues and I was a Ford loyalist. Once I bought a GMC 15 years ago and now a Ram 2 years ago, I see the errors of my loyalty. :)

All that’s really left to contest is gas versus diesel and that’s based more on what you use the truck for.
