The only "dirt" I have on my property came in the trucks that dumped it on the tan clay that makes up the entire ridge my house sits on. The valley area and my "farm field" are 60' below the ridge level but are still clay, just a black clay that sticks to the implements. I wish I had to dig 5' down to find clay like you do.

The dirt on my property is miles deep and was here when I bought the place.
