We bought a 60 Gal sprayer from TSC along with a 6 roller pump and the torque arm kit. We finally got around to setting up to test yesterday and while idling, the coupler that connects the PTO output to the pump sheared in half. Upon inspection, this piece is cast and it appears that the casting may have been faulty causing the break. While idling, the pump/PTO unit was rotating fine, the unit was spraying and while we adjusted the nozzles, the darned thing just sheared. The coupler/pump is held in place with a torque arm that uses a spring to enable some movement when under load. We can't figure out why the coupler sheared which is why we suspect the casting. Any thoughts? The attached pix show:

010 - Front view of two halves - brown spots on castings are the suspects
006 - Close up of suspect casting
004 - More clearly shows suspect casting brown spots.
