I recently purchased the 60" Buhler Snowblower for my 3720. Now am thinking about increasing to the 72". Anyone have any experience with the 72" on the 3720?

Thanks,
DW

I have a 60" on my 3320 so I think yours could handle a 6 footer easy

I would do a 72 without question. I have an 84" snow push and mine handles it very, very well.

Yep, like everyone else uis saying you probably can go with a larger unit.

I CAN go with the larger or I SHOULD go with the larger - new to the BIG snowblowers so other than taking less time (which I really don't mind in the heated cab) is there any other benefits to the larger one. The 72" is rated for 40-60 HP and I would be at the lower end of that.

I have a similar hp tractor and have a 78" and it runs it fine. You have to go slower when there is more snow but I have knocked down 6ft high snow banks with it and it blew it a good distance away. So I would say yours should handle the 72in no problem.
Benifits for the bigger one is that with the extra width the tires will not be driving over the snow when you go around curves. You can get closer to the mailbox without hitting it. I dont think it will be that much faster in bigger snowfalls becuase your ground speed will be slower but should still be nicer as it will be wider than the tires.

Spudland Dave, What is on your driveway? We use 90# roll roofing for temporary walkways on construction sites. It helps to keep down the amount of mud we track into the house. The sun will heat it up so that it contours to the ground. If you get down before the ground freezes it will hold up through the winter, and you can shovel the snow off easily. Thanks eddy622611

Its a "wire felt" from a Paper Making machine...my Dad & most of my uncles work at a paper mill....Easiest way to describe it would be a fabric woven of very thick fishing line...pretty much bullet proof. And in the winter time its like teflon, snow & ice just slides off it. We put it down after building the house for the same reason...we are waiting to build a shop/shed and then will pave the whole shootin match at one time.

As for the blower, Its not a matter of Should, its you should HAVE. A 60" is 2x20 territory..72-84" (Depending on brand & series) is 3x and 4x20 Territory
