Update, I found a 72" KKII at a different store. It's on sale for 1499.99. I haven't seen it yet, so I'm going to stop by on my way home from work. If it is actually a KKII I'm going to buy it and return the other tiller. I noticed something I don't like about the Tarter. I'll be taking pictures of it before I return it and will elaborate.

Here's a link to the one online CountyLine Tiller, 72 in. - 2127125 | Tractor Supply Company

It's listed as Countyline & 1999.99. So they're saying that's a miss print online?

It's the same sku in my local store: I'm going to look a little more closely now, this is interesting.

If there is a difference, I would choose the cheaper model anyway considering the number of hours I will use it.

No the gentleman at Circleville told me the blue book had a misprint in it,I did not ask about an on line tiller. But it sounds like the same tiller that is in the blue book. Seems like one state sells it for 1399 another 1899 and good old Pa lets it go for 1999. $600 .00 is just to much of a difference for 500 miles.

I noticed that in this weeks tsc ad, the 60" is $100 off. So the 60" is 1449 here central NC.

Well, that same 72" Tarter tiller is sitting at my local TSC and has a price of $1849. Read this on their website: Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment - Manufacturer of farm gates and animal management and feeding equipment
It sounds lke they plan to give King Kutter and others some stiff competition.

I think Tarter Gate is trying to give King Kutter and others stiff competition. But let me ask you this... do you want to buy equipment from someone who just started making farm equipment in the last 3 or 4 years? Or someone who has been doing it for 50+?

Obviously you would want to buy from the people who know what they're doing. Not the ones that just got into it recently. Tarter Gate is a GATE manufacturing company that happens to make farm equipment. King Kutter ONLY makes farm equipment. How good do you think Tarter Gate is at making a rotary tiller? This is the first year of production for them I think. King Kutter is the largest rotary tiller manufacturer in the world. I know which one I will buy...

About the price differences... TSC has a lot of regional pricing differences based on where you live and what other farm stores are competition.

Well, I ended up keeping the tiller after looking at the KK tiller for an extra $100. It's pretty well made in my opinion. I assembled it last night and gave it a short spin in the garden. It's still too wet to do much with it here.

I saw the thread about tiller deals. If you buy from TSC, it might not be a KK. It's the same SKU, but different manufacturer. See earlier posts in this thread.

I'll post some pics one of these days.
