Folks: I noticed a small warranty issue on my 6000. The crankcase dipstick (made of hard nylon/plastic) has stripped its threads so it does not completely tighten when you screw it in. I was off last week so I went to Chick's Equipment in Bealeton (my Mahindra dealer). on Thursday (rain) I told him I was total enthralled with the tractor and Internation Brush Hog, however;.....then I explained the situation with the dipstick. I also also asked if I could order a couple of oil filiters (already have one NAPA Gold 1182) as I want to change the initial oil at 25 hours. Chick took down the info and said they would send it direct to my house. I figured that since I have about 20 hours on the 6000 I may see the filters/dipstick in a few weeks. .....NOT SO!! I got home from work today (Monday) and VOILA! theres a box sitting on my front porch. Sure enough, a new dipstick and 2 oil filters are inside. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL SERVICE!!! I like this tractor! I think Mahindra is here to stay!! Let's put it this way: I'm gonna stay with Mahindra.! Also, can't say enough good about Chick. He'll sit and talk tractors with you till the cows come home..... Just like back home....Sorry, for the run on, but thought I'd give y'all a heads up on Mahindra warranty service. BobG in VA

About two weeks ago a line came lose, broke, not sure what happened on my Mahindra (Bradco 511) backhoe. I also bent the power steering lines that hang down on the left axle. I called my dealer late on a Thursday afternoon. Came home from work Friday and my dealer, Al's Equipment in Newark Ohio had already been to my house, picked up the tractor, taken it in, made all the necessary repairs, and more, and brought it back to my house. That's service. I don't know of any other tractor dealer in this area that could or would give you that kind of service. It is also good to know he had the necessary parts in stock.
Also wanted to mention I used my 6000 last weekend w/ 6 foot rottary cutter to mow around my pond. It is very steep and I have to back down the hill and run the mower as far into the water as I can to get the brush cut down. A few times I got the back end in a little too far. No problem, pulled right out in 4wd, never lost traction.
Also, when I used the cutter on my JD tractors I use to own, I kept breaking sheer bolts on my cutter. In three days of cutting with the Mahindra, I only broke two. My opinion, for what it is worth is the way you turn on the pto. On my JD, I assume it was an electric switch. Pull the knob and instant full power to the pto. This resulted in some immediate breaking of bolts, and if it didn't break, it surely put some stress on the sheer bolt. With the Mahindra set up using the clutch lever to start the cutter real slow, no broken bolts, and no sudden stress on the bolt. Result, alot less breaking of the sheer bolts.
I think what we are seeing is not only a tractor manufacture going out of its way to get a hold on a good market share, but also dealers who are good and want to be successful, but maybe could not, for many reasons or maybe just one, did not or could not be a big three dealer. My hats off once again to Mahindra and their dealers.
