Yup...if it can happen, it will. I have a F-150, that had a clutch replaced 2 years ago...and 1 year ago! Mice had taken up in the bell housing and caused the clutch to be replaced when the original replacement was only a year old.
Not exactly sure how, but there was certainly a load of "stuff" in there. I guess I was invaded, cause the first time I tried to use heater discovered that the duct work from the blower was plugged solid...in two places
