6180 puking coolant out the overflow

have a 6180 that when we run it it will puke out coolant. changed the t-stats and still does it.

Try replacing the radiator cap and clean out the radiator air passages.

If you have access to a pressure tester I would try that.

Check your manual to see what lbs radiator cap it should have. It may require more backpressure on the cap. On my 135 it's 7 lbs.

I agree with Wacky, pressure test, it could find problems that you can't see from the outside of the motor.

Going back to the OP (and 2+ years), was that problem by any chance a blown head gasket? Just curious.
