You know, I bought the 2210 because I got a heluva deal and it was bigger than the BX22. I'm just curious, what kind of competition took place? Did you take any pics of the two side-by-side? Who won? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm glad it was recieved that way megotatractor. I know I had to laugh at myself because I kept going out to LOOK at mine a lot when I first got it, even though I was getting plenty of seat time! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif John

You may be onto something regarging weeds vs. grass. I used to have the 60" deck on my 445, and when mowing my lawn (the old 2.5 acre lawn) it mowed beautifully, with no problems discharging or collecting under the deck. When a neighbor asked me to keep his lawn up while he was out of town, (actually, he has skipped town, and never came back!)
I mowed it a couple times. His lawn was never treated for weeds, and basically was field that was mowed, and it was a much different type of lawn than mine. ( mine was treated for weeds a couple times a year, and was a nice fine grass) I noticed a problem every few times around, the grass clumping up under the deck, I had to stop the deck, let the grass drop, then restart the mower, every 15 mins or so. I could only attribute it to his lawn being much more leafy content, more moisture because of it, and not a fine grass like I had.

I agree. I have same set up. I sometimes mow when damp, no build up, not too many weeds.

Weeds will definitely clump and bunch worse than a nice fine fescue. The worst I've seen is crabgrass. That stuff will have you pulling your hair out.

Mower poop, supplemental; After power washing the deck for the third time this summer-and scraping- I decided to spray a light coating of wd40 on the underside to try to keep the poop from sticking like concrete -I'll try to remmeber to let you know if this works at all- I also set the cutting height from 3 1/2 to 4 and setting the guide wheels to 4" . I also have let air out of the front tires while adding air to the rear tires effectively making an easy front/rear level adjustment and improving the ride. Cutiting the grass longer and with the deck tilted slightly more forward so far has seemed to greatly reduced poop build-up. we'll see what happens when -all too soon now- I put the deck away for the winter, I may decide to try the plow coat paint.

weed/grass ratio....... well, that could be it. mowing longer now I'm probably cutting above the weeds. I have a LOT of crabgrass, clover, and various broadleaf weeds. perhaps I'll have to invest in a sprayer.... Ialso wonder if dust contributes to build up, I had a lot of bare spots.

megottractor. Most CUTS are using bias-ply tires and it's not good to run them underinflated. It can ruin the side wall. If they are radials, not likely, it just fine to do so. Be careful because you don't see the damage until it's too late and the tire comes apart. John
