Hey guys,
So I've got my 1964 Ford 2000 running and working great. I finally got all my projects done and the last repair to make was the proofmeter. It wasn't working, and I was going to run some PB Blaster through the cable to free it up. Upon taking the cable off I realized the inner cable was completely gone. So I made a quick trip down to Tractor Supply and picked up a new cable. Got home, hooked it up and damned if it doesn't just spin around and around. I haven't ever had one apart, so I'm not exactly sure how it works internally, but I'm assuming the gauge is bad and that's why it just spins like it does. Has anyone experienced this, or know why it wouldn't stop on an RPM and just spin? Can it be fixed or am I looking at buying a new one? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
