Adding tape to the threads on these pipe nuts won't help seal - pressure on the tapered olive against the corresponding internal taper inboard of the threaded section the screw into is what seals the connection.
Are the female threads in as good condition as these?
After you have tightened the pipe nut, does the hose feel tight - is it difficult to twist?
Those crimp-style hose clamps might not be tight enough - try replacing them with regular hose clamps?
Maybe the pipe flare nuts just need tightening a LITTLE more? Be careful, especially if they screw into aluminium!
Another possibility is a crack in the pipes. Do BOTH ends leak?
Bottom line, read carefully The Pump Guy's post No7 and Banjo Dunn's post No8 - I'm unfamiliar with US-spec machines but I can't recall seeing any rubber seals on 35s, 135s etc.

By the looks of the lines in the posters pictures.. there is NO olive required..
The line seals against the ferrule on the end..
IF it required an "olive" the line wound be exposed about 1/2" w/ a small ferrule..

I知 hesitant to tighten anymore. I知 worried about stripping something. I知 going to bring the hose into a local store in hopes of having something made up.

JD855guy.
Sure looks like the same part, will inquire.

I reckon you're right - he has found what's needed. :)

Regarding "olives" etc required - it appears to all be in the terminology we each are using. :confused2:
The profile of the ends on the hose assembly JD855 refers to are a notably different shape to what Jean's pics showed.
They probably will tighten and seal, whereas what is currently there are too small/thin/short for the pipe-nut to bear down onto them.
Certainly worth a try, and looks promising!
