If you have any more info on that grapple, I'd be interested. How large (heavy) a machine is your Mahindra?

There are two saw holders. Both are just made of 2 pieces of scrap plywood bolted together with a 0.5 spacer. The one on the left side is bolted to 2 pieces of angle which are inturn bolted through existing hole in the loader frame. This one also has a small box to carry a one galllon gas jug. photo attached.

Don't have anymore info on the grapple. My tractor is pretty heavy. I think it is around 11,500 lbs. (or a litttle more) all set up (loader w/grapple, loaded tires, chains front & rear, front suitcase weights, winch and other paraphernalia. The gapple is 72 inches wide. I'm pretty sure there is a 66 inch version.

Thanks, I really appreciate the close-ups. If there's one place these compacts are lacking it's storage space! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif For what it's worth, I found it's not a good idea to try to replace the plastic "tool box" with an ammo box. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Do the Stihl and Husky get along, or do you have to keep them separated? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Stihl does do some sulking. That Husky 246 XP is a beauty. Extremely light and cuts like a saw with half again the cc's, but must have a sharp chain. I bought it to limb with, but find myself using it a good deal to fall and buck with.

My 6500 with skidsteer QA bucket, loaded rear tires crosses the scales at 9480 lbs.

On mine add to that: winch (approx. 750lbs), front suitcase weights (think 450lbs), front & rear tire chains (? 300 lbs.) brush guard (75 lbs.) logging equipment (100 lbs.) and me (220 lbs.). The grapple is also heavier than the 78 inch bucket. What did you load your tires with? Mine are loaded with a strong chloride solution. I think the solution weighs around 12 lbs. per gallon (water is 8 lbs. gal.).

Great shot. Got to love hauling logs in the snow. Sure beats in the mud!
