Thanks , My question is how do I know if it is a cav? I know it is a minimec and I am guessing that is a Simms, the inspection cover is on the side and i can see the fuel rail and when we checked the oil in the pump none came out of the plug hole that shows full..we filled the resevior up with oil and cleaned out some gunk in with the fuel rail and tried to some degree to move the fuel rail , but stopped until we had some more info..it is a 3cyl. and they are inline on top of the pump..

spray the fuel rail with some pb blaster and let it soak dont pry on it to hard because if it breaks it is a expensive fix
Thanks, the lines do come out the top in a row, just wondering if i need to fill the oil resvior up with diesel and let it set for a few days , is there anything in there that could be stuck? we sprayed and soaked everything down but it has been raining so as soon as it lets up, try to get back at it..(Did I mention how much I love this site)the knowledge on these old tractors that gets shared in here is great!
