You should have no issues running a 6' tiller on your L3830 ... we run a 5' KK on our B2910 with no problems.

Depending on your soil type;you may have to plow then roto-till.Tillers don't like hard ground and grass.I much prefer my tiller over disc's;one pass with the tiller equals 5-6 with the discs. If it has a slip clutch make sure you service it every year(fairly easy job and could save some expensive repairs).

I run a 5' KK tiller on my 32hp L3200. I ran a subsoiler through to "plow" before I tilled. Probably would have been a LOT harder if I didn't have a HST. If you are underpowered you can go slower, but risk over tilling the soil & turning it to unusable dust.

King Kutter makes good quality products. Almost bought a 5 footer from Rural King but it's hard to justify spending $1500 for a tool that would be used < an hour per year.

Thanks well figured out I don't have to cut PTO shaft guy at ruralking said if you can't get pto shaft on at level then it should be cut I have like 2"inches Inbetween pto shaft on tiller and tractor and then the spare room once you slide it on the shaft about a total of 3 to 4" inches of space any ideas are apriecated if this is satisfactory owners Manule says about 1/3 of shaft play. Top off all oil and greased all fittings ready to till would have today but has rained and is now snowing yes snowing in NW PA amazing? But supposed to be in the 70s by Thursday and I'm off Thursday and Friday. What do I look for in over tilling when I used my disk for my corn planter it had to be some what fine but not dust in the food plot I'm planting corn we sprayed it for weeds about 2wks ago and all my plots have been worked with in 2 yrs so I believe I won't have to plow but it is true I'd spend hours with 6 ft 3pt disk to get soil worked for planting corn with a massyfergson 2row corn planter hopping to cut that in half hopefully already got neighbors that want there gardens tilled any ideas on how much to charge the one neighbor I'm gonna do for free I hunt on there property ok got go to work to save up for another implement!!!!!

I bought one this year. I did have to cut a couple of inches off.

I tilled up about 1 1/2 acres. It was pasture/fescue. All I did was mow it real short, then have at it. Work very well.
