7/8 to 3/4 ports

Your 3/4" hose is absolutely adequate for your splitter.

16gpm from pump will take at least 5/8" or #10. Your cylinder will return 25% more flow from capped side when retracting, and that make 20gpm, which require a 3/4" or #12. So 3/4" to capped siide and 5/8" to rod side is minimum "adequate" sizes.....practically you choose 3/4" on both?!.....

also what parts do you use to adapt 7/8 ports in cylinder to 1/2 or 3/8 line?sorry bout all the questions i just dont know that much bout this stuff other than just very little basics.thanks again

Are you going to order these fittings or go by a hyd supply? Either way, tell them what you have and they will set you up with the correct fittings. Tell them the port size, and the hose hose end fitting, and the length of hose you want for both cyl ports.

On some log splitter valves, the IN/OUT is 3/4 in NPT, while the cyl connections are 1/2 in NPT. What size is the work ports?

This valve is rated for 25 GPM's and 1/2 in work ports.

i have the 3/4 in and out lines and 1/2 work portsand the cylinder has 7/8 on both ends and the pump outlet is 1/2.what would be the best way to do the lines?3/4 from pump to vavle then adapt from 1/2 work ports to 3/4 out of valve to cylinder then 3/4 return?i think that would be the way it needs to be done but not for sure.i'll be gettin all my lines and fittings from a local supply near me.but first i need to figure out what lines i need...thanks

3/4 into the valve and 1/2 work ports to cylinder...btw all the parts are brand new and i am buying all new line.
