Mowing 7' Finish Mower

Andy, I have a friend with a TC40. He tried a Land Pride 7' mower and had to take it back because it made his engine overheat. Required too much torque....at least that's how it seemed. I would ask your dealer to let you have the 7 footer for an afternoon to make sure that it doesn't over tax your engine. Maybe the Land Pride would be different from other brands. Anyway, just my 2 cents worth.

How big is a 3930 tractor? I have a TC40 tractor on R4 tires which makes it right at 6' wide. I mow with a 6' Befco finish mower. I would like to have a 7' mower so that it will stick out past the tires a little bit. If the mower sticks out past the tires it is a little easier to mow close to walls, fences, etc...

3930 is a 5500 pound tractor putting out about 45hp at the pto.
