7-way plugs....anything better out there

used the molded one for years on several trailers never had a problem. on one of the work trailers the owner just swapped on a hopkins metal one at the beginning of this year because like you he was having issues, well see how it works. i think it is a little too tight

TSC usually carries the molded plugs attached to the cord.

I've put them on my horse trailer, snowmobile trailer, and truck. Haven't switched the flatbed over yet, and that's the only one that still gives me connector problems. No more corrosion issues on the contacts. Cable is molded into the connector. Truck side is well made as well. I've also got both adapters, so I can haul a traditional 7pin trailer, or have my trailer hauled by a traditional 7pin truck.

I too have the ez connector and it is a fantastic improvment over blade connectors. The plug attaches to the tow vehicle with a magnet so if you forget to unplug or jacknife the gooseneck and stretch/yank on the cable just releases instead of ripping your wiring apart. Very well engineered. It is expensive compared to bladed connectors but if you figure in the agrivation and down time created by bladed connectors needing constant replacement it is a good investment. I operate my trailer commercially and will never go back to chinese made bladed connectors. If your looking for something better, this is it, hands down.
