Many tillers can be mounted slightly offset to follow one wheel, and it isn't too bad to work that way.

Consider maneuverability if you are planning to till between rows of trees, or around trees. And, of course, roots.

How hilly is your property? Do you need the wheels set out wide?

Tiller tines, bearings and the roller chain if used if it is not gear driven.

An Italian disc plow from SICMA and a small disc harrow from SICMA would work well too.

Contact Ken Sweet at Sweet tractors and ask about them as he is a SICMA dealer.

A nice disc harrow takes a lot less hp and is so much faster

True to a point. Especially on ground that has been worked in the last few years.
We had horses running on several acres for years. I tried a disc with serrated on the front , and even mounted weights and rail road rail for extra weight. It would barely scratch the surface. I finally ended up buying a tow behind JD 3 bottom plow with hydraulic lift to really break the ground. The 84" tiller would also break it up but was a bit of a ride on the initial pass.
We had a Howard years ago and that thing took a beating and just kept on going. I have an 84" chinese tiller and even though it is heavy built have broken several parts of it.
