72\" Mid Mower Deck Pins

Has anyone out there come up with a better way to lock your 72" mid mower in the up position. The pins and clips that Kubota supplies are a real pain to try and get in and out. I don't have a problem with alignment, it's trying to grab the pin from the back side. Especially on the right hand side of the tractor(side with the loader control). I was thinking about looking for a self locking hitch pin that had a small handle on it. The type that has the sping loaded balls on the end of it, similiar to the catches on socket wrenches.

Re: 72\" Mid Mower Deck Pins

RBrown,

I have the same deck and it was pinned up when it was delivered to me. I had a heck of a time unpinning it and scraped my hand up. I'm not at home now with the tractor, but I think I figured out that you could rotate the pin so it sticks downward so it can be grabbed easier. I may be getting the many inconvenient tractor pins mixed up, so I'll check the tractor when I get home and report back my thoughts.
