72" pto tiller

I currently have a kodiak 60" tiller, it's been fine but i am looking to upgrade to a 72" now that I have gotten a bigger tractor 38hp, looking for options on a moderately priced tiller that is 72", I don't have alot of options around me, besides tractor supply and one dealership that sells tarter, it would be nice to find something online with cheap or free shipping, that is decent quality

Your 38 hp tractor should easily handle a 72" tiller. And you indicate that you won't be getting one of those that weight two tons and are guaranteed to grind up a 14" thick airport tarmac.

If you like your Kodiak - do they make a 72". I have many Land Pride dirt engagement implements and have had very good experiences with them. Likewise - Rhino and Bush Hog.

Generally speaking - 72" - category 1 - rototillers will need 20 to 40 engine hp.

Everythingattachments has nice tillers I have a Sigma 73 inch and a 48 inch labeled Phoenix. Had the bigger one since 2013 and they work well. Free shipping and nice people to work with.

I realize it is sacralige around here.... I reallly like my county line (tsc) tiller. I own 18 acres and just till on my own property. Converting a corn field to pasture for the horses. It has been great for that. I have a 60 inch. Do not think my 24 hp tractor could handle 72 inch.

If I were doing commercial tilling I would want a heavier unit and a bigger tractor.

go to any tractor dealer - kioti, new holland, deere, kubota - they all sell tillers. Good ones - quality before price.
TSC/RK/NT sell decent ones that are more price-based.

Also consider FB marketplace, craigslist, auctions, etc.

I bought my box blade new but all my other attachments i'm getting used - half or 1/3 the price of new for some of them.

Man around here people price their used tillers like they are practically new. Same with brush hogs. If you want half price it is in rough shape.

you gotta be looking all the time. daily. twice daily. good deals go FAST.

I got a perfect condition 72" bush hog brush hog for $550. I was first of 8 calls..I called at 8am sunday morning..the other 7 calls he got before noon.
Just picked up a j-bar disc harrow, 5 1/2 foot, for $300. Not sure the new price, but $700 and up seems to be what they go for in general. Again, first of 5 calls that day. It's still got the decals on the discs..it's damned near new.

I can get an IH baler for $300, a disk bine for $400 (needs some work), I got a 2005 F350 with 106k on it, no rust (in western PA everything on the road rusts), $4k with new trans and tires.

Downside is you gotta be ready to run and go get it NOW, when it shows up. Can really screw up your day LOL.

I just saw rural king has a 6 ft county line tiller for 1200 bucks.I dont think you can beat that deal. Not sure if they will ship one.

That's pretty good price for a 6',, I did find a local dealer that has 6' kk for $1800, so that seems reasonable also
