72\" vs 60\" price difference

Hi all, dealer has been trying to put a 60" NH mmm on my TC30. He called today and said no way it would work. Now wants extra $500 for a 72" NH mmm both are side discharge. Sound reasonable? $2195 for 60" or $2695 for 72".

That sounds like a good price difference, if you want the 72". Either size should work BUT there are two versions of the 60" 914A. Check here for more information. The prices may not be current, but the differences shouldn't have changed much. Maybe he's trying to install the wrong one.

Re: 72\" vs 60\" price difference

Thanks chatcher, don't know why I didn't think to check that site, I have it bookmarked. Looks like the second 914A 60" is for TC30 with TURF tires. I have the industrials. I would have prefered the 60" for the tighter areas I sometimes find myself in but since the price difference looks good, I'll go with the 72". Salesman says they will try and deliever it tomorrow afternoon (means I'll probably get it back in another week lol). I like this salesman and the dealer but boy they sure don't know their product. This isn't the first mix up. But hey, everytime they mix something up, I seem to be coming out ahead so....... no complaints. Thanks again Terry

Re: 72\" vs 60\" price difference

I had the 60" on my TC21D. I now have a 72" on my TC29D. Both have done me well except for my terrain is all over the place and I tend to do more scalping with the 72". So now I have to mow at 3.5" for the most part. Which is ok, actually I am told the longer you can leave it the less chance for weeds. If your dealer can give you the Gator Blade option I would opt for that also. Most here like the TBN with the New Holland mower. They just seem to do a better job.

Re: 72\" vs 60\" price difference

Yep my land is all up and down too so I'll probably do a little scalping or mow higher. Anyway the 72" is on order. Dealer says 1-2 weeks (I'm betting on 3-4). Brought the tractor home today so I can finish some other "work". Dealer will come pickup when the new mower arrives. Thanks guys. May have to check on the gator blades. Don't want to confuse this dealer anymore then he already is lol seriously he is a great guy and trys hard to make things right when he makes a mistake.
