7232/3/4/5 engine info?

The Cub Cadet 7232, 7233, 7234, and 7235 compact ag tractors sold from 1995-1997 used the Mitsubishi K3G 3-cylinder diesel engine. I was wondering if anyone had the bore and stroke dimensions and the displacement in cc for this unit. This should be in a brochure for this tractor or in shop manuals, but I can't put my hands on any. Many thanks for any help anyone can give.

Ed, I have a 7234, I bought new and have the manuals. I don't read TBN on a daily basis so if you need more info be patient.

The 723 Engine is listed in the Service Manual as having a Bore of 82mm or 3.22 inch and a Stroke of 78mm or 3.07 inch. I couldn't find the CC info in the manual but the brochure I have shows it as 75.4 (1236cc). It also gives a little tighter spec of 3.228 x 3.071 inch Bore and stroke.

Well, I am not very mechanically inclined...so let me just post what I have from my manual (1996 CC 7235):

Type...3-cylinder, four stroke cycle, valve in cylinder head, cross flow porting.

Firing order...1-3-2

Bore:
7232/7234/7235...82mm (3.228 inch) [let's call this type 1]
7272/7274/7275...84mm (3.307 inch) [let's call this type 2]
Stroke:
type 1...78mm (3.071 inch)
type 2...90mm (3.543 inch)
Piston Displacement:
type 1...1235 cm(3)...75.36 cubic inch
type 2...1496 cm(3)...91.29 cubic inch
Compression Ratio:
type 1...18.7 to 1
type 2...18.0 to 1

Governor engine speed without load...2650 to 2750 rpm

Rated engine speed...2500 rpm

Engine idle speed...970-1000 rpm

Max HP (per SAE J816b & J245)
type 1...23hp @ 2500 rpm
type 2...27hp @ 2500 rpm

Valve clearance (intake and exhaust, cold engine)
....0.25mm (0.010 inch).

IMPORTANT: Valve clearance adjustment must be made when the engine is not running and cold.

I checked these numbers twice after typeing them....but if you have any questions or think I fat-fingered something, please let me know. There are also additional sections on Engine Lubrication System, Fuel System, Air Intake System, and a couple pages on Powertrain and other general specifications.
