I have a 7300 with about 350 hrs han i noticed this winter that my back blade barely lifted off the ground when plowing snow. I suspect the Hyraulic pump is damaged. I have a loader and it works fine. any thoughts?

My quick thought is the knob that controls the rate the 3 pt lifts up and down closed in one direction or the other to much? I'm thinking they call it the Draft Control? Mine is near the floor just under my seat behind my feet. I would think that if the FEL works ok then the pump would probably be ok.

no, top link is fine, I noticed the two lift arms do not go all the way up when the control is set to full lift. I actually have about 50% of play to the upside. I fear the Hydraulic pump, but have no idea how much and how difficult they are to replace or rebuild.
thanks for the reply

I believe the knob you are referring to is the drop speed control that controls the rate inwhich the hitch drops when lowered. it seems to operate ok and it is not in the full closed position. my tractor is not equiped with draft control.
Thanks for the reply

Larry . I make stab in the dark #2 /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif This is on a KUB. So it may be different on Your machine . But on the left side at the top of the 3PH lift ,(close to the top link )there is threaded rod with stop nuts that goes to a valve that shuts off the hydraulic flow when the #ph reaches the full up position . If one off the stop nuts has come loose it would affect the 3Ph travel . Had it happen to me . Hope it makes some sense ,and better yet cures your problem . John
