753 No Drive Power

Hey my name is Kevin. I have a 753 Bobcat. The left drive has quit working. When I push both levers forward or pull them backwards the machine runs fine (not as much power though since the left side has none). When I pull the left lever all the way to the back I get a little bit of reverse movment. I am not sure if it is the drive motor since i get a little bit of movement out of it or if it is the valve assembily. I hope someone one is familier with this. Thank you for you time, Kevin.

First check your linkages going back to hydrostat. Is it making a terrible whiny noise? Did this sit for along period of time with out running?

Kevin, if and I think it is similar to my 620 there is replenishing valves on side of the hydro pump. Mine has three cap head like plugs, there in a triangle like pattern. The replenishing valve also acts as relief if you may have pushed her a little hard, it could have opened and stuck. I also think you have a chain drive in the tank area. May be your problem is in there also. But like my other post, first start at checking linkage.

Thanks for the info. What happen was it was cold and one of my guys started it up and tried to drive it with out letting it warm up. And no it does not make any whinning nosies while you are operating it. Also what do you mean by linkages? Thanks.

Does this model run with the two levers forward and back and not a joystick? If it runs with the two levers look under seat area with roll over protection tilted up, and move the levers on both side to see if linkage going to hydro pumps are moving the same. The pumps are back to back inline,and vane pump is probably on front of them. Now if this is joystick operated I am thinking of wrong model, and would not be familar with arangement.
