ALL J-D's: 955, X595, 6x4 Diesel Gator, CX Compact Gator, 310D Loader/Backhoe (4x4, turbo, extend-a-hoe)
My brother replaced the radiator cap on his 755 (he said the old one "looked funny" ) with an OEM cap. Since then, he says he's getting anti-freeze out the overflow when he runs the engine at higher RPM's. Whaddya' think - head gasket?
TIA.

Head gasket if your lucky, cracked head if your not...you/he needs to do a compression test ASAP.

Was it doing this before the cap replacement? If not put the old one back on a see it it still does it. Maybe he got a defective cap that is not holding pressure.

Nope. He threw the old cap away, so we're going to try the one from my 955 - according to the J-D catalog, they're the same, he says. I'll let you know what happens.
