Do you have an infrared thermometer? If yes can you see the pumps and motors and take temp readings to see if one of the pumps or motors is getting hot faster than the others? If one of the pumps or motors gets hot that would indicate the failing component

Yes, I found my infrared thermometer yesterday and put a new battery in it. I haven’t cranked up the skid steer again, I notice I have a puddle of hydraulic fluid underneath it on the side that the defective motor is on. Also looks like fluid is leaking from beneath the motor where it mates to the chain case.
I’ve been trying to research the motor. It physically looks like the 2000 series but I haven’t found one identical yet. I also need to pull the chain case cover and count the splines on the shaft and mike the diameter. The pump puts out 24 GPM at a max of 2500 psi, so that helps narrow the search if I could just find a chart that shows the specs. Perhaps I might get lucky and find a rebuild kit or even a inexpensive replacement.

Hello I'm curious if you found a replacement drive motor or a place that rebuilds them. I have a 340 that also needs a drive motor.

I sold the skid steer. The man that bought it I believe replaced both motors as a pair. It痴 working good now, he plowed a lot of snow with it this past winter. They are good little machines and easy to work on.
I値l message him, perhaps the one good drive motor he pulled out he壇 be willing to sell. Also, I can post here where he got the drive motors for future reference for others.

He bought the replacement motors at American Seal in Spokane, WA. They measured the bolt pattern, depth and number of splines and ordered it from Eaton. He was able to choose the gear speed, so he went with higher torque rather than higher speed. The motors cost about $700 each.
He said if you only need seals for your motor, you might be able to get replacements there at American Seal. Perhaps mail your motor to them.
Also, if you send me your contact info, I値l give it to him and he can contact you. He had one good motor he壇 sell you as he replaced both, not just the bad one.
