Re: 790/419 pic\'s

Can't wait.

Only have about a 1/4 of an acre that is 7' tall grass. This area sat for years and I had a guy hog it w/ a 27 hp Ford and Howse bush hog. He really hammered the place for about 2 hours and it looked great. He was using the FEL on small trees and mulching thorn bushes left and right. This year it grew at an astonishing rate do to the rain and being cut down last year.

I will spend the 1st day cutting my overgrown but not terrible horse pasture (5 acres). That is flat and wide open so it is agoog palce to learn the machine. Day 2 -I attack that 1/4 nightmare. Day 3- I intend to open up my overgrown horse trails through about 5 acres of woods that lead to other trails off my property.

Horse trails are really only bad for the 1st. 50 yards and then the tree canopy allows almost no light so not much undergrowth. Just have to chainsaw downed trees and limbs every once in awhile and use the FEL to clear a path.

Man I need my tractor yesterday!

Re: 790/419 pic\'s

Waiting is killing but as I mentioned in another thread there is only one thing worse... sitting in my garage looking at a tractor as it rains and rains and rains... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I am going away golfing for 3 days starting Monday, it is supposed to be (miracle) nice and when I get back the tractor will be just about due. Then I need some good weather.

You can't do anything here right now it is more suited for a water buffalo and a plow right out of a Vietnam rice paddy. I think we just broke a 100 year old record for rain in June with almost 10 days left in the month!!!

Good luck, I will let you know when it arrives.

P.S. thanks for the offer now if you were only a little closer /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: 790/419 pic\'s

Glad to see I am not the only overgrown kid who tries to keep up with their kids gymnastic classes. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Talk about rubbing it in, now yer' posing with the dang tractor.

I know how you feel I would be out there in all but the worst of conditions if I had the machine. Right now the conditions are just about impossible. The entry to the field (naturally) is the worst spot so I can't get to where I need to be. I would give even money that any small tractor is going to get stuck. I wouldn't even attempt it my 4 wheel truck for any odds.

I am waiting on some $$$ that should be heading my way around fall and then a backhoe is a strong possibility. Drainage right around the barn could be fixed in a day or two with a couple of french drains. It always was a slight problem but with this years record snows and rain it is a must do.

Everytime my wife slops through the muck with one of the horse I am that much closer to getting the back-hoe /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

P.S. I bet if you throw it into gear while you suspended backwards and upside down on the ROPS you win Americas Funniest Home Videos!

Now go get that dinner you earned it!
