Looking for a place to mount a tool box on a 790. It will be here later this week /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and I want to carry a couple tools on it. Any ideas? Looking for the same ideas for a drink holder as well...... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Not much room on my 790 for a toolbox. I bought a magnetic can holder through TBN (I don't see it in the "store" anymore). It's a fabric affair that mounts on a vertical surface with magnets. Holds a can of beverage and a small pocket I keep ear plugs in. Sitting on the fender to the left by my foot it cramps me a little but works OK. I also use a Stuckup (mag-mount water bottle) on top of the fender.

If you come up with something let us know. I wouldn't mind carrying a few things with me as well /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

On my 990 I removed the grab handle from a fender and put it there. I used some fender washers as shims since it isn't perfectly flat. I also use that as the "cupholder". I can throw a bottle of coke or water or whatever in there and take it out easily while I am working.

I mounted a small toolbox (8" x 8" x12") on my right hand fender. I believe there was a bracket in one of the holes to hold the seat belt (when it is not in use....). I removed the bracket and the factory plug from the other hole(s) and drilled the holes in the bottom of my new tool box, put short 1/4-20 bolts in with large washers and tightened the nuts. The box has been on my tractor for 3 years now and works perfectly fine as a tool holder and also, a arm rest for my right arm when doing a lot of FEL work.

On my 790, I had taken out the two rubber grommets on the fender and then used a .30cal ammo box as a tool box using the two holes that I just mentioned. I put a few rubber washers under the box for air flow and to keep metal away from metal. The box was painted JD green and I also put a nice JD Deere decal on the box just to dress it up a bit. As for a cup holder, I got the factory one from JD and it mounted just in front of the "toolbox". One anvantage of this box is that its waterproff, which can come in handy if you don't like rusty tools.
PS. I did a similar thing for my 990, (traded the 790) but used a .50cal box instead.

I mounted a tool box in front of the brake pedals on the loader frame. I used a ammo box and some u-bolts I had found in a box. I welded a piece of angle iron to either side of the ammo box and drilled a couple of holes in each piece and used the u-bolts to hold the box to the loader frame. I did drill two holes in the bottom of the box to let moisture out. For the cup holder I got the cup holder from deere and Mounted it on the right fender. The cup holder comes with two sided tape that dosen't hold very well, so I drilled a hole in the fender and holder to secrue it in place. If you would like some pics I can post them later this week.

I mounted a tool box on my right fender as well. I would like to see what the JD drink holder looks like.... Anyone have a pic of it?

On my 855 I welded up an angle iron bracket then hung it off the ROPs with 2 U-Bolts. I mounted a 24" plastic toolbox on it to keep a hammer, wrenches, chain, rope, shear pins as well as my chainsaw files in. Oh and a First Aid kit.

It's about shoulder high on the left side, above the caution lights. Occasionally I'll bump my elbow on it, I guess I could have used a 16"box, but I like to take lots of stuff with me so I'm living with the big one.
I hung some rear facing worklights off the rear of the ROPS, using the same U-Bolts.
