Sorry that you now have to wait longer but it's good they found the real problem. Must have been a bad casting but your dealer is doing it right.

Well dealer spent two weeks getting different freeze plugs from Kioti and it was still leaking. Got a call today that they found a defect in the head from when it was cast, so now waiting another week (if not more at this rate...) for a new cylinder head. Had that feeling that was the problem after the dealer told me the first freeze plug they tried was still leaking. Sheesh.

obviously unfortunate they did not have a good look at the seating surface of the head the first time the plug was removed. have they been treating you ok despite the extra time taken?

I have seen that before on truck engines, and if you look at how complicated the castings are it is amazing that it does not happen more often. Glad they are fixing it right.

something like that should have been noticed at the factory(defective head casting)!. poor QC.. it happens, but, it should never have been released to the production line!..

You would be surprised at just how many things are not seen during the production of many products. Vehicles are probably the worst when it comes to mistakes. At least Kioti is doing the right thing and fixing it properly.
