8540 clutch adjustment?

Thanks for the replies! I was kinda afraid there wasn't any adjustment to it. Even though I have 1000's of hours operating tractors, I sometimes look like a "noob" when letting off the clutch on this one. Of course my jackrabbit starts only happen when someone is watching... LOL

I have been driving tractors for over 55 years and you should have seen me trying ours out on the dealer's lot, if I hadn't been in the back lot they may not have sold it to me.:laughing:

so is there excessive play in the clutch pedal linkage? or is your take the clutch is worn w/little engagement to it? is it slipping or grabbing when released? hopefully the previous owner didn't ride it, a sure way to wear it quickly. hopefully just the linkage needs adj. and yes, that can be adjusted with a slight amt. of play after it is engaged. good luck!
