Mowing 855 mower compatibility

Does anybody know if a 72” mower from 1988 will fit an 855 built in 98. the model# is M00296x555699. Which puts it at a 88 model. Did Deere change the hookup for the mower in the later years?

I don't believe any changes were made that would affect the hookup.

Look up the mower in John Deere's parts web site and see if there are different decks for different serial numbers.
