ILUVBIGBUCKS,

Thanks for the link.

Thanks idaho2.

The canopy was a dealer add on. I will get a brand name for you. I do like it as it is aluminum diamond plate on top and it is insulated on the bottom to keep from having the hot South TX sun burn through it.

I will try and remember to get a close up picture of it this evening.

Thanks,
Tim

Edit: idaho2, the top is made by the Perry Company. Here is the link:
The Perry Company: Aardvark Canopy

I will second Tim's comments on the canopy. Have the same one on my 4500 and it is worth every penny spent for it.

Here is another picture of the 8560 going to work.

By the way, I drove it over to the feed store and ran it across the scales. I had my bucket off and the grapple on and it weighed 11,350. To say that the feed store owner was a bit shocked is an understatement. He guessed it to weigh 7500 before actually weighing it. I had to laugh at that guess and told him that without having the tires filled with water the specs on the machine say 9300 with tractor and loader. My guess was 10,500 but it exceeded even that.

I now have 20 hours on it and have cut about 25 acres of my place and moved a ton of brush and logs and it has performed perfectly. I really wish I had a bigger disc harrow to put behind it because the one I have is only a 6 1/2' and I don't even think it'll know it is back there! LOL

By the way, we were blessed with a 1.1" rain early Sunday morning and I'm taking off a 1/2 day and heading to the feed store to get a couple of tons of fertilizer to put on my coastal fields this afternoon. We have a good chance of more rain this week and I will be praying we can get at least another 1/2" or so to make the $1000 the fertilizer cost worth it.

A 9" offset disk with 22" or 24" pans would work good. If you have all flat land, then you could go bigger.

Bump to an old thread

I'm currently renting a 8560 with like 90 hrs, i think its a 2012 model. I've been mowing grass/ brush waist high, some small hills nothing major with a 15' batwing mower. I've been running in low gear range, and in 4th gear at about 1500 Rmps and the tractor will run very high temp and then eventually the red high temp light will come on and i shut it off little while. I've ran up t 2000 rpm for better cut but overheats up to quickly then. I knew i'd have to go slow, but didn't think it'd overheat like this. Is this normal or is there something wrong with tractor? to much mower? It is 80-90 degress. I Ran at night little bit, may have helped little not much

help please thanks. i'm mowing 300 acres, already done like 200, hope to limp through rest

High RPM and slow ground speed get best results. Tractor should be able to go at PTO 540 speed all day long without overheating. Likely the radiator needs some attention.

Are you keeping the chaff blown out of your cooling system? It sounds as if you aren't. Likely, the place you rented it from did not remind you of this. You probably have a removable screen in front of the radiator. Pull it out, clean it with air, or whatever; also make sure the radiator is blown out from behind.

I know high rpm low speed for mowing cut, but what about motor overheating? I'd rather sacrifice the mowing cut then the engine? I've pulled up the hood and looked at radiator, doesn't look that bad. I'm in the middle of country fields how would I blow it out? I'll try to take pic of radiator.

I would think this tractor could handle the mower better but idk. I can rev the engine up and it does run fine, but the temp sky rockets and light comes on. Also service light has been on since I picked it up, dealer said prolly just time for initial 1st service.

Any more pics or detail on how to clean radiator? I pulled air filter off and knocked some dirt out.

Take the air filter cartridge(s) back to the house with you and blow them out good. I made a long stem copper tube with a 90 degree fitting (that screws onto an air nozzle) on the end just for blowing it out. You don't need to blow out the radiator screens, just remove them and beat them over the front tire.

This tractor sounds like it has been abused. It is 40 hours past it's 50 hour inspection. My bet is low oil quanitity also, contributing to the overheat problem.

What is the recommended rpm for using the pto? What speed is recommend by the mower's mfg? Is this what you are using?
hugs, Brandi
