873 stopped, fuel injector pump?

She runs off a 5 gallon can with a hose from the bulb to the can. The fuel line is not pinched.

I blew some air in the line from the prime bulb to the tank and it's clear.

There are 3 hoses running out of the tank top. 1 is the fuel out line to the prime bulb. 2nd (the same size) is the fuel return line. The 3rd is a larger hose which I assume is the breather line (intake or pressure release??).

The larger hose is broken at the end that attaches somewhere inside around the steering control rack. That's where I was working this winter replacing a hydraulic line.

Is that broken piece maybe a one way pressure release and is letting air into the tank??

Found the Bobcat parts site and it answered my previous posts questions. The large hose is what seems to be a overfill drain and attaches to the fill cap area. The fuel line seems to be the flexible type, because the fuel level sensor is a single unit. Looks like I'm pulling the fuel line out of the tank and messing with getting a new one in. Can't wait.:thumbdown:

I hate unfinished threads.

So I purchased the pick up fuel line & check valve located in the tank and replaced it.

The old one was toast and fell into the tank.

Had a harder time pulling the old one out than putting the new one in, but the rubber grommet is sitting on the tank nice and snug.

do not blow air back through the fuel line ,, you will blow off the hose and the screen ,, I know I did it to mine ...
the pick up is Flex able, it's a hose with a mesh screen on the end ,,
I tested my fuel system by using a Mr Gasket Green electric fuel pump and a 5 gallon can of diesel .

on installing a new fuel pick up on the tank grease it and when you install it start to turn it clock wise and roll it on .
