8n ford

I have a 8n ford. When I last used it it was fine. I went to start it the other day and it will not turn over. I have checked the battery it is well charged. The thing does not seem to be getting any power to the starter. I have power from the battery to the solenoid. Ihave power to ignition switch. I do not seem to have power to headlights I do not even get a clicking noise from solenoid. does anybody have any ideas what it could be.

Check your ground cable, where it attaches to the chassis.

I have cleaned both cables with wire brush. I also cleaned and sanded the connection on chassis. the connection should be good.

Try by passing the starter button with they key on and in neutral touch jumper wire together or it could be the key ignition switch hot wire it I had a bad key ignition switch on my 8n! Good luck...

I can't recall the exact wiring from when I converted mine to 12V, but don't forget the neutral cutout switch on the tranny when you're checking things.
