Well I went to start my 8n usually every winter I turn it over just to get oil moved around well here in north west pa today was beautiful and 60 degrees and decided to start it well no go long story short checked for spark at spark plug got spark so I pulled plug out spark plug dry no fuel so checked the fuel bowl cleaned it and getting fuel there then went to carburetor got fuel to it then pulled line and filter out got fuel. Then took out Drain plug out of bottom of carb got fuel there. I would try to start tractor after each try then just for giggles I checked for spark still have spark it's just not getting fuel from carb to intake tractor ran fine when I parked it in September I'm **** about my fuel I keep it clean and use stablelizer so my next step is to take carb off and apart and ? I'm stuck on what to do next I had carb rebuilt about 5 yrs ago any pointers or what to look for I would appreciate thanks!

Did you catch the fuel and check it for water?
I always cut the top off of a 2 ltr bottle and catch fuel to check.
Water will stop up carb jets.
Also with up draft carbs you almost need to choke and flood them to get them started.
When you shut it off last time did you shut off fuel and run it dry? That's the best thing for any engine that will sit for any length of time.

Disconnect air pipe and try. If it dosen't start put a little gas in a oil can pump a couple of squirts in the air intake on carb and see if it fires. Make sure you are using non alcohol gas.

Curious on why Non alcohol gas ? Just in general ? Which makes sense. Or because of some other reason ?

8 n's were designed to run on leaded gas. Alcohol is a drying agent plus it attracts moisture. An 8n because of its updraft carb cannot work or handle any water in the fuel.

And if you are confused by me saying it is a drying agent plus it attracts moisture let me explain. When gas with alcohol sets it attracts water unless in a sealed container. When alcohol is burned it burns dry with no lubricating aspect which damages these engines.

Not sure I believe all of that. Probably 99% of gas at the pumps these days is E10. And of the 1/2 million + N-series fords out there, I am sure everyone running pure gas. Not sure what the burning dry with no lubrication damages the engines is all about? The fuel in these engines isnt used to lube anything. ITs not a diesel. And they are a quite robust engine.

As to the OP's problem, check for air/vacuum leak around manifold and carb outlet. Sucking air in somewhere other than through the carb and it wont suck fuel

Before you really disassemble things make some adjustments on the carb jets. They may be plugged and the movement will let gas by.

Our 8Ns ran fine on E10 from whenever they started using it here until I moved back to the farm four years ago. I started using E0 mid grade across the board and didn't notice any changes in the Fords.

I would agree with the recommendation to avoid ethanol, but I don't think that it's the culprit here unless the tractor has been stored with ethanol fuel on the carb for more than a month or two.

Something else to check is a stuck valve.
Remove plugs and feel for compression.
A stuck valve will let the intake air go back and forth and not let fuel/air mixture to enter cylinders.
If stuck, spray lub into that cylinder in the valve area.
I have had to manually close a valve on a Clark Forklift.
I took a piece of 1/4" rod, beat the end flat, bent 90* and inserted in spark plug hole on top of valve to push it back down.
Would be tough to do on an 8-N without removing the fuel tank.

Have you sprayed or poured a little gas down into the carburetor and seen what it would do?

Pull the plugs. Clean and gap them. Spray some ether in each hole before you put the plugs back in and away you go!
