I have a 8n with factory (if that is possible) loader on it, when i got it the loader was jammed so i took apart the manual mechanism to pull back the pin that locks the bucket in place. Not the washer and the spring are both broken and need to be repalced. However i cant figure out how to replace them as the local guys seem to not know what they are. does anyone have a diagram of how the locking mechanism works?

need to know what loader you have... loaders are all dealer or aftermarket installed.

Looks to be a Freeman X000, cant really read the series. It is a pipe style loader. Could be a 5000? I actualy put in some springs i had around and made it work temporarily, though i still need the real spring that fits in there.
Now i am havign trouble with the manual trip, often when i trip it the bucket doest tip, or it tips the wrong direction. I have to jump off, pull it down and manually tip it so it dumps.
Ideas?

post some pics.. has it been modified. all my trip loaders are setup so they always dump forward when tripped, even empty.

the pics will still help to see what's going on.
I've replaced those springs with non oem types with little trouble. just have to get tension correct.. etc.
probably more of an art than a science on this old stuff.

no wonder it's dumping backwards.. change the angle on the bucket. roll it forward a hole and check...
ps.. that spring setup needs work.. attach it closer.. much closer.. that spring is likely worthless in that setup.
work onthe pull cable routeing geometry it it is having problems pulling the lever that pulls the pin to dump.
