8n only runs with full choke

fuel tank has the vent.. not the cap.. and is easilly plugged.

Ok Soundguy, you're confusing me. I've repainted a few 8N tanks on my remodels and I don't remember seeing a vent.

We're my tanks aftermarkets that didn't have vents?

If you've repainted an 8n tank, then you know the tank is more or less an assy with the hood.

if seperated from the hood there is a dome on top with a pinhole in it.

that is actually a baffled dome as there is more metal under it, with a coresponding hole.

dirt daubers or over zealous painters.. can close the hole. OR.. those tank sealers you coat the insides with to control rust.. almost ALWAYS close the vent.
