For some reason here in the south.. our tractor prices stay inflated. If it starts and runs.. it won't go for less than 1200 here.. doesn't matter what it is.. even a IH cub...

I read the want add for the mid west.. and it brings tears to my eyes to see running tractors being sold for 700-1800$ all day.. and down here that brings a parts tractor or a burned unit! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Sounds like supply and demand theory to me. Short supply + demand = high price. They are not that easy to find at a good price up here in the north east either. One of the local farmers buys and restores Cubs over the winter and installes a woods belly mower then sells them all summer long in the $2500 and up neighborhood.
